Field Record

Field Record is an independent music magazine. We cover records, rooms, and the people who make both. Four sections — Reviews, Interviews, Features and Live — each issue is put together by working writers who believe attention is the rarest instrument in music.

We started as a photocopied zine sold at the back of a venue that no longer exists. The venue is gone; the habit stayed. Today the magazine is published quarterly in print and continuously here, in the same spirit: square corners, no noise, and every story traceable to a room or a tape that really exists.
